Contacts

Calumet County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm someone’s custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the public office that holds the record or makes the custody decision.

Where to route a Calumet County request

The office to call depends on whether the question concerns current custody, a Sheriff report, a court case, or prosecution. Sheriff Brett Bowe’s Calumet County Sheriff’s Office is the local starting point for county law-enforcement and jail matters. The office is at 206 Court Street, Chilton, WI 53014. Regular county hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Calumet County Sheriff and Corrections

For a written request, identify the person, approximate event date, arresting agency, and the particular booking record, photo, incident report, or other item sought. The Law Enforcement Records page explains the Sheriff’s request channels and possible reproduction or processing costs. Wisconsin’s open-records framework in Wis. Stat. § 19.35 does not mean every requested item must be released without review. Protected information, legal limits, or an active investigation can affect a response.

Use the right official lookup first

  • For a current custody snapshot, start with the Corrections Division and its current inmate list. A current roster is not a confirmation of an arrest today, and an absent name does not prove that no record exists.
  • For a recent county booking that may no longer be on the current list, check the official seven-day booking report through Corrections, then ask Records for a specific document if needed.
  • For a circuit-court case or disposition after booking, use Wisconsin Circuit Court Access and, when office help is needed, contact the Clerk of Circuit Court at (920) 849-1414, 206 Court Street, Chilton. Clerk hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • For a criminal-charge matter referred from local police, the Calumet County District Attorney’s directory line is (920) 849-1438. The District Attorney and the Sheriff do not hold the same records.
  • For a sentenced Wisconsin prisoner, use the Wisconsin DOC Offender Locator. For federal or immigration custody, use the federal BOP Inmate Locator or ICE detainee locator, not the county roster.

City-held records and public leads

An event in Appleton, Chilton, or Brillion can involve a city police department and a separate county jail or court custodian. Begin with the local guide for Appleton Busted Mugshots, Chilton Busted Mugshots, or Brillion Busted Mugshots to identify the appropriate official route. News and third-party results can be leads, but they cannot replace a response from the originating office. Booking entries are allegations, and every person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
